Hi! I’m Amber Grudzien (rhymes with blue jean... just thought I'd help you out with that). I’ve been signing for about 8 years now, and in 2005 I graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Interpreter Education from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. I am a native of SC, but have made deaf friends all over, as well as experienced a good taste of deaf culture while I lived in Southern California for about 18 months among the deaf community there.
For a couple years, while in school, I worked as a care-provider for a young, deaf/blind child and absolutely loved my experience working and signing with him and his family. After graduating from college, I worked for a year as an interpreter for the deaf at Spartanburg Community College here in Spartanburg, SC. I now am a stay-at-home mom and love this job even more!!
Now that I have a little one of my own, we are teaching her sign language and have been thrilled with the level of communication we’ve shared via sign language. Infants are intelligent, and helping to feed their minds in this way is a very fun, easy, and rewarding experience. I am excited to combine my love for sign language and children while getting to know you and your little one through music, signing, and fun!
