 Music and signing activities in our classes build on your little one’s natural
  tendency to use gestures.

Classes:
*Note: Prices and materials as listed below pertain only to classes held outside of Spartanburg Communuity College. SCC class fees and materials are listed at www.sccsc.edu.

Cost: $50/adult for each 4 wk level

Materials suggested: SIGN with your BABY® complete learning kit (60 min. DVD or VHS, book, and quick reference guide- $49.95) or SIGN with your BABY® book ($14.95).  Please purchase prior to class from the following sources- www.sign2me.com, Barnes and Noble, Books-a-Million, or your Sign it, Don’t Whine it! presenter (call or e-mail to order). If you purchase your product(s) through Sign it, Don’t Whine it!, you may pick up your order at class, and you will not be charged for shipping.

Included with class: The Sign it, Don’t Whine it! packet (full of information about the benefits of signing, reminder helps for signing, and lots more information to help you along your way), My Signs Book (for child), and Signing Journal (for parents). These books are a fun way for you to keep track of what you’re learning in class as well as how you’re progressing with your child at home.

You may sign up for just one class or all three. Level 1 is a prerequisite to Levels 2 and 3; however, Levels 2 and 3 may be taken interchangeably.

If you are interested in hosting a class in your home, please contact us to schedule a time and dates. As the host, if you have at least 4 additional paying attendees at each class, your class fees will be waived! This is a wonderful opportunity to share an exciting class with your friends and their little ones at a time and place that's convenient, and free, to you.

Sing & Sign Story Time!
Come and enjoy a twist on the traditional story time! Learn stories and songs in ASL. Perfect for ages 6 months - toddler. The story time will last 30 min. with additional time at the end for babies to enjoy free play and moms to enjoy a bit of socializing. Dress comfortable for playing on the floor.
Date: 1st Thursday every month
      Begins Sept. 4, 2008

Time: 11:00 - 11:45am

Location: Labors of Love Birth Center

         Spartanburg, SC 29307

Cost: $3/family material fee
 

Presentations:
Our 45 min. presentations are free of charge and provide a brief overview of the benefits of signing, as well as an introduction to some sign vocabulary, fun songs to sing and sign, and activities to help you include signing with your little ones throughout your daily routines. Children may attend. Please call or e-mail if you are interested in hosting a presentation for your business (i. e. daycare, preschool, children’s store, etc).

Workshops:
Our workshops are held on Saturdays and last approximately 3 hours. The cost is $50/ person, the same as class fees. Workshops cover the same information that is covered in the level 1 class. The SIGN with your BABY® complete learning kit or book is encouraged for workshop attendees. Workshops are perfect for those busy working parents who find it difficult to schedule in extra time for classes during the week. Workshops include a short refreshment break. Because our workshops are 3 hours long, we ask that you not bring children with you. Please call or e-mail to pre-register for or to host a workshop.

NOTE: Sign it, Don’t Whine it! provides our signing classes to parents in an infant-friendly environment. Sign language instruction is geared towards the interest of little ones, but the intent is for parents to go home and practice there with your child(ren) what you have learned in class. Please call or e-mail to pre-register for classes.
